The Man Who Could Fly

A portrait of St. Joseph of Copertino, a 17th century mystic famous in Europe for his sanctity and for his extraordinary ability to levitate. This he did hundreds if not thousands of times in broad daylight so much so that the Church had to seclude him from the public that would have devoured the friar. Hundreds of eyewitness testimonies were deposed by physicians, artists, a Pope, nuns, a Polish king, and visitors from all over Europe, including the occupying Spanish dignitaries. The man was and remains a mystery, and a multi-tasker with the different kinds of miracles, all in all, a person that speaks to the outer reaches of human potential. See my books: The Man Who Could Fly: St. Joseph of Copertino and the Mystery of Levitation and Wings of Ecstasy, Joseph’s biography.
