The entrance to a dimension beyond our customary world could not be closer—actually, we’re there already–it is our own minds. A glance within is the first step beyond. There is a door that opens every night to the unknown, our dreams. There is the door of meditation, of psychedelics, the door even of madness:–of prolonged fasting, intense loneliness, ecstatic love; of illness; of prayer; of being near-death. There are doors without names, yet to be discovered. And they are all at the edge of our own minds.

Art is one of the great doors into this dimension. I call it great because we have yet to reach the limits of creative imagination. Each of us, whether we realize it or not, are the artists of our own lives: the way we see, dream, and feel the world around us. Art as the essence of experience we explore on this website. It is a process I invite you all to explore with me. I believe we all stand to gain from some form of sadhana, or spiritual practice, using one or more of the arts. A place we can cultivate to engage with our own angel of transcendence.
